In order to get ready for Anthony Martial’s exit, Manchester United is looking to add a striker this summer.

Rasmus Hojlund is the team’s lone recognized striker at the moment, and the young player has performed admirably in his first season at Old Trafford.

But in order to share the load of goals and assist the squad, he needs aid up front.

Serhou Guirassy, Brian Brobbey, Ivan Toney, and Benjamin Sesko are the names associated with a transfer to Old Trafford.

Another name has now surfaced, and Man United may want to keep an eye on him as a possible summer acquisition.

Man United has reportedly scouted Lille attacker Jonathan David, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The 24-year-old attacker for Lille isn’t yet at the top of his game, but with the correct move, he might go to the next level.

Lille reportedly valued David at around £30 million, mostly because his current deal expires in the summer of 2025.

In addition to Man United, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Aston Villa are also after David.

It is stated that relocating to England is “more likely” than to Italy.

The Canadian international has been incredibly prolific since the start of the season, increasing his goal total to 24 goals in all competitions and scoring hat-tricks in the league and cup.

David would be a great addition to Manchester United.
Although there hasn’t been an official bid for the striker, expect the competition to ramp up in the upcoming weeks when the summer transfer window starts in mid-June.

In light of the current trend of goal scorers being costly, he could also be reasonable with the transfer fee that is being offered.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the futures of several Man United players, the team plans to use its transfer budget in addition to proceeds from sales to make significant additions this summer.
