Manchester United have been linked with Ousmane Dembele for a very long time and the latest reports suggest that they are pressing to seal his signing on a bosman.
The French international will be out of contract next summer and in January, he can agree a pre-contract with any foreign club.
According to a recent report covered by Mundo Deportivo (press image provided below), the Old Trafford outfit failed with a loan offer to sign the former Dortmund star back in October 2020. However, this time, they are extremely keen to get his signing done.
The Spanish news source have mentioned that Man Utd have submitted an offer to sign Dembele and are putting constant pressure on the attacker and his agent to accept the offer.
It is stated that time is running out for Barca to agree a new deal with the 24-year-old star, who currently earns (Marca) around 12 million euros a year i.e. £194,000-a-week.
Dembele is a talented player, who can effectively play anywhere in the attacking midfield. He was a super hit in the Bundesliga with BvB but since moving to Barca, he has mostly been on the treatment table.
In the current campaign, so far, he has only made a single appearance (featured for 25 minutes in the CL) and has missed all the remaining games due to injury.
Therefore, I find it baffling that Man Utd are pushing to sign him. They must be patient with Sancho and give him time (under new manager) to excel.
