Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard could allegedly join West Ham United in a £10 million deal during the January transfer market.
The England attacker excelled on loan at the Irons in the second half of the 2020-21 term before returning to the Theatre of Dreams to fight for a senior team spot.
He has struggled to get regular minutes in the opening months of this campaign, though, and a recent report stated that the player’s contract talks with the club have broken down.
As it stands, the 28-year-old Lingard will be a free agent next year, but according to a fresh report from a British newspaper The Sun, the Hammers are confident of landing him in a £10m January deal.
The report states that he has already started to make arrangements to move back to David Moyes’ side, and the Red Devils are ready to sanction his exit in the middle of the season rather than risk losing him for free.
Newly-rich Newcastle United have also been touted with an interest in the out-of-favour player, who has scored twice and picked up one assist in eight appearances for the 20-time English champions this term.
