Manchester United have reportedly pinpointed Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as the perfect replacement for outgoing midfielder Paul Pogba.
The management are expected to allow the Frenchman to leave the club on a free transfer next year, with Real Madrid and Juventus apparently competing to sign the player.
According to Fichajes, the Red Devils are keen to bring the former Genk ace to the club as the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner’s replacement.
The 26-year-old Serbian – also thought to be admired by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool – has netted three times and registered four assists in 18 matches for his Italian club during the 2021-22 season.
He still has two and a half years left to run on his existing deal with I Biancocelesti and is thought to be rated by the Serie A outfit’s hierarchy in the region of €70 million (£59 million).
Sergej has scored 50 goals and provided 43 assists in 265 appearances for his team since making the move from the Jupiler Pro League side back in 2015.
In the meantime, Borussia Dortmund striker and Mancester Untied target Erling Braut Haaland is allegedly keen to sign for Real Madrid during next summer’s transfer market.
The 21-year-old has netted 70 goals and registered 19 assists in 69 matches for BVB since sealing the move from Red Bull Salzburg in the winter of 2020.
