It’s expected that Manchester United will search for a new manager during the summer.
In fact, it appears like Erik ten Hag will leave Old Trafford this summer, and if United decides to fire their manager, they must find a suitable successor.
Naturally, the Red Devils have been connected to several managers, including Graham Potter and Gareth Southgate, but Chris Sutton is now becoming more receptive to the notion of bringing in a new manager.
In fact, during a conversation with a caller on BBC 606, Sutton mentioned that Joachim Low may be a wise choice for the team.
Manchester United to Joachim Low
The caller and Sutton discussed the possibility of the former manager of Germany joining United.
I’m stating that I believe I’ve located the perfect manager. I’m a devoted fan of international football,” a caller remarked.
“He served as Klinsmann’s assistant for Germany from 2004 to 2006, took over as manager in 2006, helped the team win the World Cup in 2014, and led them to the semifinals of the 2016 European Championship.” A German tabloid claims that he is strongly interested in going back into management.
Sutton commented, “That’s a good hunch, I like that.”
The victor is Joachim Low.
It would be a fascinating appointment, I think.
It’s strange, since despite Low’s lengthy history of success with Germany, not much is known about him as a manager.
In fact, he hasn’t managed at the club level in 20 years, and his World Cup victory from 2014 occurred ten years ago.
His style and tactics have undoubtedly changed since then, and it would be intriguing to see how he might fit in at a team like United.
There’s no denying that Low is a winner, and if chosen, he would instill the proper mindset at United.
