The Seleccao star has received a huge pay increase and is now one of Old Trafford’s biggest earners, if media claims are to be believed.

The Sun claims that Fernandes and Manchester United have personally agreed to details of a contract that will pay him approximately £350,000 per week, or £54.6 million over the course of the next three years.

According to the British publication, the former Sporting CP playmaker used to make almost £220,000 every week.

Thus, he received a pay increase of about £130,000 per week, and to be fair, the Man United player of the year winner deserved this benefit.

The 29-year-old forward, who joined the team during the 2020 winter transfer window, has been among the most reliable players.

Fernandes assisted in the first goal of the Community Shield match against Manchester City last weekend and scored the game’s first goal in the penalty shootout.

Tomorrow night, Manchester United takes on Fulham in the Premier League opener. Hopefully, Fernandes puts on a display to help us win all three points.
