Man United transfer flop desperate to depart Old Trafford next year

Donny van de Beek is allegedly still intending to push for a transfer away from Manchester United during the January transfer market.

The Dutchman has only made five appearances for his team this season, but the midfielder has featured in the Red Devils’ last two matches against domestic rivals Manchester City and the Serie A side Atalanta.

The 24-year-old star still has four years left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford but is understood to be interested in a move in the hope of working his way back into the Netherlands’ national team squad for next year’s FIFA World Cup.

According to a fresh report from a British newspaper the Daily Mail, the former Ajax academy graduate is still determined to secure a transfer away from the Premier League outfit at the start of 2022.

Struggling and newly-loaded Newcastle United have been heavily linked with van de Beek, while there have also been reports that Xavi’s Barcelona could explore a loan deal at the turn of the year.

The out-of-favour player has scored once and grabbed two assists in 41 appearances for Manchester United since arriving from de Joden in September 2020.
