As per an update from Sky Sports, Manchester United has initiated negotiations with another club over the sale of a “special” player this summer.
News of Man Utd’s transfer
In order to offer Erik ten Hag the best chance of success this season and beyond, Sir Jim Ratcliffe may still be itching for more additions, even if the Red Devils made a lot of good acquisitions during the current transfer window.
The lack of attention paid to central midfield in recent months suggests that finding a long-term successor for Casemiro should be a top priority. According to one rumor, Manuel Ugarte is getting closer to joining PSG at Old Trafford, although the two parties have not yet agreed on a price.
Manuel Ugarte for PSG Ferdi Kadioglu, a left-back for Fenerbahce and Turkey, has also been linked to a move to United several times this summer. It is thought that the Premier League’s biggest clubs are in negotiations with him over a transfer. Given that Luke Shaw is 30 years old next year and his injury issues don’t appear to be getting better, it’s definitely time to start looking for a replacement.
Ten Hag could also not be fond of any of the current Red Devils players, such as Facundo Pellistri, who has seldom been able to get consistent playing time while wearing a United jersey. He will likely complete his four-year tenure with the club with a permanent move to Panathinaikos.
Man Utd is in discussions to sell a “special” player.
Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports made a fresh allegation on Sunday stating that Manchester United and Fulham are negotiating the trade of Scott McTominay this summer.
“Fulham and Manchester United have resumed negotiations on the player Scott McTominay’s signing. Following the rejection of their first two bids during the window, Fulham was not anticipated to reenter the market until United was prepared to compromise on their asking price.
“If negotiations proceed well, Fulham is expected to forward a better offer. McTominay is now in the last year of his deal. United may choose to extend for an additional year.”
Man, UTD, Scott, and McTominay
The £60,000-per-week McTominay is obviously a talented football player; during their time together at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho called him a “special” player, and Ten Hag stated last month that he wants the player to stay put. Among his many strengths as a player is his ability to score from midfield in a box-to-box role.
But if United wants to be playing at the caliber that teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal have been playing at lately, they must have better midfield players than the Scot.

This will bring Ten Hag’s summertime activities to a successful conclusion.
Though it wouldn’t necessarily be a terrible thing if McTominay stayed put as a squad option, the Red Devils could use the money if Fulham is prepared to pay a high price for him to get an upgrade in summer.
