Manchester United were heavily linked with Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier in the summer transfer window and the England international is once again in the lime light.
Back in August, the Red Devils wanted to lure the Three Lions right back but the Rojiblancos blocked the transfer (AS) and demanded activation of his 60 million euros release clause (£51.2million).
Yesterday, Il Tempo reported that AS Roma are looking to sign Man Utd starlet, Diogo Dalot, on loan and are hoping for a positive answer from the English club for the transfer to take place in the winter window.
The Italian news source have mentioned that Dalot’s departure from Old Trafford is linked to the arrival of Trippier and United are in talks/negotiations to finally sign the veteran fullback.
Last season, the 31-year-old featured in 28 league games for the Spanish side and helped them keep nop fewer than 16 clean sheets as they went on to lift the La Liga trophy.
Trippier made five appearances at the European Championships for England and helped them reach the final. He even set up the opening goal of the game. However, Southgate’s men ended up losing the contest to Italy on penalties.
At the moment, Man Utd have Wan-Bissaka as their first choice right back. The former Crystal Palace star has been inconsistent this term, as the entire back-line. In your view, should Man Utd move to finally sign Kieran Trippier in January?
