After Luke Shaw suffered yet another setback due to injury, Manchester United may decide to invest on a new left-back.

After returning to preseason training, Shaw sustained a calf injury, and United has stated that he won’t play again until after the international break.

According to Sporx, United is now putting pressure on Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu this month.

The Turkey international, 24, and the Seagulls have reached a personal agreement, and it is rumored that he is eager to play in the Premier League the next season.

A deal won’t be easy to make, though. Although Brighton has offered more money with add-ons than United, the Red Devils have made the highest upfront offer for Kadioglu.

According to Sporx, Ali Koc, the president of Fenerbahce, will ultimately decide which offer to accept.

United might want to defeat Brighton in Kadioglu.

With Fenerbahce, Kadioglu enjoyed an outstanding 2023–2024 season. The Turkish player made 51 appearances in all competitions, tallying three goals and five assists.

At the European Championship, he continued to excel for his nation. With more than two crucial passes, the adaptable full-back won an astounding seven duels each game.

In addition to his outstanding overlapping runs from left back, Kadioglu stood out defensively throughout the tournament, with 3.6 tackles and five recoveries each contest.

The celebrity, who was born in the Netherlands, would be a great addition. He needs to be convinced to join United over Brighton. It is still to be seen if that occurs.

Recently, Noussair Mazraoui, a left-back operator, joined United. But over the course of his career, he has only managed 10 appearances from the position.

Erik ten Hag, the manager, has reportedly urged the club to get Kadioglu’s signature from Jose Mourinho’s team, but he may choose another specialist for the position.
