helsea reportedly still have an interest in securing the services of Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries, having been heavily linked with the Netherlands international during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old’s future was called into question during the recent market, with Man United and Chelsea both believed to have been keen on bringing him to the English top-tier.
Dumfries has again been a vital player for Inter this campaign, playing 15 games in all competitions, scoring two goals and provided two assists in the process.
The Dutchman also has another three years left before his deal expires with the Italian giants, however, there is again rumours surrounding his future ahead of the opening winter transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, having made enquiries over the summer, the Blues remain ‘very attentive’ to the defender, with the capital giants keen to secure him at the end of the season.
The report suggests that Dumfries is likely to be discussed when Chelsea and Inter Milan sit down with a view to coming to an agreement over the future of Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international is believed to be keen to return to San Siro on a permanent basis, however, as it stands, he will head back to his parent team next summer following the completion of a loan spell with the Italian side.
