If Manchester United decides to move on from Erik ten Hag this summer, they are interested in Thomas Tuchel, who wants to come to England.
Journalist Christian Falk claims that once his tenure at Bayern ends, Tuchel is eager to return to the Premier League.
Earlier this year, Tuchel declared that he had come to an agreement to quit Bayern at the end of the current campaign, citing an apparent disagreement in the locker room as the reason for his departure.
Since then, though, a number of Bayern’s possible successors have been eliminated, and the German powerhouses have advanced further—all the way to the Champions League semifinals.
Due to this peculiar circumstance, it is unclear what will happen to Tuchel, who has been connected to a potential return to the Premier League in the meantime.
Given that they may split company with Ten Hag in the summer that Falk maintains Tuchel would like that transfer, Manchester United is said to be one of their biggest admirers.
Tuchel is strongly predicted to play for Manchester United, but he wants to travel to the island, according to Fussball Transfers, who quotes him on the Bayern Insider podcast.
Journalist Tobias Altschäffl claims that the German coach hasn’t ruled out taking a vacation after leaving Bayern, thus Manchester United may need to move swiftly to meet with him.
Many managers have adopted that strategy throughout the years; Pep Guardiola also took a hiatus after leaving Barcelona, and Jurgen Klopp is expected to do likewise after departing Liverpool and doing something similar after Borussia Dortmund.
And following a challenging period at Munich, Altschäffl suggests that may also appeal to Tuchel. If Manchester United is interested, they could want to act quickly to get him.
About the German manager, he said, “He hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of taking a sabbatical.”
