Manchester United allegedly focused on adding another defensive reinforcement for Erik ten Hag after winning their Premier League opener against Fulham in the last seconds.
News of Man Utd’s transfer
The Red Devils overcame despite the lack of conviction, and Joshua Zirkzee made a grand entrance into the Premier League by scoring a late victory in his debut. Zirkzee, who arrived this summer along with Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui, became an instant hero at Old Trafford. The transfer window was successful for everyone at Manchester United.
However, following a lackluster debut performance, Manchester United may still add more players. It appears that they are concentrating on finding a new left-back to replace the injury-prone Luke Shaw as well as a midfield player, who may yet be Manuel Ugarte.
Ferdi Kadioglu and other players were discussed, but since the Fenerbahce star is supposedly headed to Brighton & Hove Albion, the Red Devils have their sights set on a different solution.

L’equipe reports that in addition to Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Nottingham Forest, Manchester United’s Premier League opponents are also showing interest in Adrien Truffert.
The left-back from Stade Rennais just made his way back to club football following his silver medal win at the Olympics in Paris, where he was narrowly beaten out by a strong Spanish team.
The transfer of Adrien Truffert, West Ham
Now that he has his medal, Truffert might be moving. At just 22 years old, the Frenchman has already demonstrated a great deal of potential and meets all the requirements of Manchester United’s recently established transfer strategy, as specifically mentioned by Zirkzee and Yoro. But with only two weeks remaining in the timeframe, any transaction needs to move quite swiftly to cross the finish line.
“Dynamic” Truffert is capable of rivaling Shaw.
If Truffert were to sign with Old Trafford this summer, the players there would be looking ahead, and the left-back would want to be competing for Shaw’s starting spot rather than just being a backup. Naturally, the more the England international battles injuries, the more his starting spot is exposed, maybe giving Truffert the opportunity to sneak in and take it.
During his time at Stade Rennais, the 22-year-old has received a lot of praise. U23 scout Antonio Mango called the Frenchman “such a dynamic full-back”.
Truffert is a player who can play both forward and defense, as seen by the statistics provided by Mango. If Manchester United can withstand Liverpool’s rumored interest in signing him, Truffert might be quite the coup. Their fifth summer signing would be the left-back.
