Real Madrid are allegedly lining up a January swoop for Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek.
The Dutchman’s future remains the subject of much talk, as the midfielder continues to struggle for regular action at the Theatre of Dreams, with a number of clubs understood to be monitoring his current situation.
Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Barcelona are among the sides believed to be interested in landing the Netherlands international during the January transfer window.
However, according to a fresh report from Spanish news outlet Fichajes, there is also serious interest from the Galacticos, who believe that they’d be able to sign the 24-year-old former Ajax talent in a cut-price winter deal.
The report states that Los Blancos view Donny as a perfect long-term replacement for ageing Luka Modric, with the Croatia international entering the latter stages of his professional career at the club.
Donny, who arrived at the Premier League outfit from de Joden in September 2020, has only played in five matches for the 20-time English champions during the 2021-22 season.
In other news, Diogo Dalot will allegedly be allowed to depart United for Roma in the January transfer window on the proviso that the club manage to sign a successor, according to Sky Sport Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio.
