According to a recent transfer update, Manchester United is reportedly in negotiations with the agents of a 23-year-old “leader” about a summer transfer to Old Trafford.
News of Man Utd’s transfer
Following a very successful transfer window that saw the additions of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui, the Red Devils are still being connected to new players.
Even if Yoro and De Ligt have added much-needed depth to United’s center-back lineup, it appears that Sir Jim Ratcliffe may still be interested in Barcelona’s Andreas Christensen. Nonetheless, Tottenham and Newcastle United are rumored to be interested in signing the Denmark international due to the high level of Premier League interest in him.

In the meantime, the Red Devils are still pursuing Manuel Ugarte of Paris Saint-Germain in an attempt to add a long-term replacement for Casemiro at the foundation of the midfield after the Brazilian’s somewhat lackluster play over the last 12 months.
Similar to Ugarte, Ederson is a player in the same role and seems like a viable replacement for the Uruguayan. The 25-year-old helped Atalanta win the Europa League the previous season. United is rumored to have even made an offer for him.

Journalist Aline Nastari of X has provided an update stating that Manchester United and midfielder Andre of Fluminense have begun discussions on Andre’s summer transfer to Old Trafford:
Manchester United and Wolverhampton are both considering the player. The teams and the player’s representative are now negotiating. But Fluminense is not the subject of any deal.”
Andre might be a terrific choice for United as they gradually attempt to replace Casemiro because he is another deep-lying midfielder in the style of Ugarte and Ederson who puts out flames in front of the defense.

The 23-year-old was reportedly Liverpool’s target during the January transfer window; the Red Devils may be especially happy to capture him as Fluminense turned down an offer.
Jacek Kulig, a football talent scout, has called Andre a “leader” who plays with a maturity level that may be above his years. He has already earned five caps for Brazil and could add more to his tally as he grows into a more important starter in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup.

It is imperative that United sign a new defensive midfield player this summer. While Ederson and Ugarge have more European experience than Andre, the latter may be the more affordable choice because Fluminense reportedly wants to pay a total of €35 million (£30 million) for Andre’s services, including bonuses, according to a Sport Witness report.
